Overall, very happy with how carnivore has improved my health. I've read that because estrogen is stored in fat, it's released into the body when you burn off the fat and can cause hormone fluctuations, leading to acne breakouts. I think once I hit a healthy weight, the acne will get better. I'm not worried about it, since I feel way better than I did a year ago. Could be caused by the autoimmune disease or hormone imbalances. I also have hormonal acne on my chin and jawline that hasn't cleared up yet. After losing 15 lbs, I hit a plateau for 6 months and just started losing again in July. I've lost 20 lbs since starting, but still have more to go. So far, I've enjoyed it, although it does seem like my results are taking a while. I also had quite a bit of weight to lose and wanted to improve my overall health. Carnivore was intriguing to me and I read Shawn Baker's book. I decided not to take it and looked at changing my lifestyle instead. Bloodwork showed I was borderline for an autoimmune disease and my doctor prescribed medication. I was experiencing autoimmune symptoms like arthritis pain (in my early 20s), fatigue, IBS, and more. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoked meats. Include some lean protein, but moderate amounts. This means a Type AB diet would: Have plenty of fruits and vegetables, tofu, and grains, as well as dairy, fish, and lamb. Overall O is the most common type so I am expecting it to get the most votes but I do wonder how does the rest compare. For someone with Type AB blood, eating for your diet would involve a combination of the Type A and Type B diets. I am wondering if other blood types are benefiting from this diet ? The general census is that type O is the oldest one and best suited to high protein diet. I was wondering what blood types you are.
